Class Participation & Readings (80 points)

This includes

  • attending class;
  • reading assigned articles and (as assigned) posting entries /reactions in either the threaded discussion area of the course’s WebCT site, or at the course blog, Ed Tech Matters; and
  • participating in class discussions and activities during class.

Performance Assessments (210 points)

You will use various pieces of software introduced in class to create products that illustrate your mastery of various, specified software features. In addition, within each product you make you will discuss its potential for supporting teaching and learning in your content area.

Cases in ETIPS (70 points)

These online assignments will provide us a common setting for applying a principle of educational technology integration or implementation, and analyze the impact of the context on how it plays out. These cases require a short answer response to a case challenge.

Software Review (20 Points)

You will find and review pieces of software appropriate to your content area.

 

GradINg Policy

380 points are possible.

  • A's range begins at 90%
  • B's range begins at 80%
  • C's range begins at 70%
  • D's range begins at 60%

10% per week deducted for late assignments.
